Our goal is to make our customers so resilient that serious incidents and crises are avoided. If crises cannot be avoided, the aim is to minimize the consequences so that the business is not seriously harmed.
Nordic Crisis Management was established in 2002 as an independent consulting company specializing in security, emergency preparedness, and crisis management. Our advisors have expertise and broad experience in one or more of these areas. The headquarters is in Oslo, with branches in Stavanger, Stockholm, Stenungsund, and Copenhagen.
Since 2024, we have been part of Prevent Group.
Maritime Security
Recognized Security Organization
We assist around 200 ports, port facilities, and shipping companies annually, both nationally and internationally, with planning, security measures, and annual agreements for compliance with regulatory requirements. The goal is to prevent crime, terrorism, and sabotage. This work includes developing plans, advising on perimeter security systems, access control, surveillance, as well as training and exercises.
To carry out this work, we hold authorization as a Recognized Security Organization (RSO) according to standards set by the United Nations Maritime Organization (IMO) in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. We are also authorized by the Norwegian Coastal Administration for training Port Facility Security Officers (PFSO) and Port Security Officers (PSO), as well as by the Norwegian Maritime Authority for training Ship Security Officers (SSO) and Company Security Officers (CSO).
Exercises
Tabletop, simulation, or full-scale?
Nordic Crisis Management conducts several hundred exercises annually of varying scope, with themes and content tailored to the client's organizational maturity and ambition level. A successful exercise setup requires thorough planning and clear exercise objectives in terms of design and scope.
Our advisors ensure a structured and predictable process through planning, exercise leadership, observation, and follow-up. Each exercise results in a thorough compilation of observations, findings, and recommendations that the company can use in its ongoing work.
